YardWise collects the following information to provide and improve the service:

• Account information — email address and authentication credentials via Supabase Auth.
• Location data — approximate location (when you grant permission) to determine your USDA hardiness zone and provide localized weather and plant-care advice.
• Photos — images you submit for plant, pest, lawn, or disease scans. Photos are sent to our server for AI analysis and stored in your account.
• Yard profile — information you provide during onboarding such as yard size, sun exposure, soil type, and gardening goals.
• Usage data — anonymous analytics about how you interact with the app.

• Deliver AI-powered plant identification, diagnosis, and advice.
• Provide weather alerts and zone-specific seasonal checklists.
• Maintain your yard inventory and garden journal.
• Process subscriptions via RevenueCat.
• Improve the app and fix bugs.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication and photo storage.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI vision analysis of your submitted photos.
• Open-Meteo — weather data (no personal data sent).
• RevenueCat — subscription and payment management.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Server-side API keys are never exposed to the client. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using Expo Secure Store.

YardWise is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
