Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the YardWise mobile application ("App") or visiting our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

YardWise is an AI-powered yard and garden care assistant that provides plant identification, pest diagnosis, lawn health analysis, and personalized gardening advice. The service uses artificial intelligence and should not be relied upon as the sole source of horticultural, agricultural, or safety guidance.

YardWise uses AI models to analyze images and provide recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results may be incorrect or incomplete. You should:

• Verify identifications before consuming any plant identified as edible.
• Consult a local extension office or certified arborist for critical decisions about mature trees or property-affecting plants.
• Exercise caution with pest treatment recommendations, especially around children, pets, and food-producing plants.

YardWise is not liable for actions taken based on AI-generated recommendations.

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

• YardWise offers a free tier with limited scans per month and a premium subscription with unlimited access.
• Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Pricing is displayed in the App before purchase.
• A free trial may be offered. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policies.

You retain ownership of photos and content you submit to YardWise. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use it for providing and improving the service (e.g., AI analysis, displaying in your yard inventory). We will not share your photos publicly without your consent.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or algorithms.
• Upload images that do not relate to plants, yards, lawns, or gardening.
• Abuse the service by submitting excessive automated requests.

The App, its design, features, content, and AI models are the property of YardWise and are protected by intellectual property laws. The plant database information is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YardWise and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to plant damage, crop loss, property damage, or personal injury resulting from reliance on AI-generated recommendations.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
